Tour the waters of Venice and the private lagoon with a tour guide and see Venice from the water. Build your own itinerary and have the freedom and independence to linger where you want . The motor launch is available for cruising the city center and the islands of Murano and Burano. Please note: Guests must be able to board a small Venetian motor-launch independently. Guests with mobility problems can have difficulties in boarding the boat. The tour leader is not a tour guide, and cannot give any tour lectures. Capacity: 2-8 guests. Venice is composed of more than 100 tiny islets, packed closely together around canals. Venice city is in a lagoon, protected from the sea by a long strip of land. Today you will visit two islands-Murano and Burano. In 1291, when furnaces were banned from Venice as a fire precaution, the manufacturers of fine glassware were transferred to Murano . Glassware was one of the few Venetian exports and as such, the secrets of this skillful craft were tightly guarded. Today, the Murano products of blown-glass mirrors, chandeliers, goblets and intricate works of art are renowned worldwide. There will be time for a visit to one of the many glassblowing workshops and for shopping. The island of Burano has brightly painted houses decorating this small and cheerful fishing village. Burano is well known for its lace-making. In the 16th century, the lace industry was at its peak, and Burano was cited throughout Europe for producing the finest lace. You will have the chance to admire these beautiful works that require hours of labor, and maybe even purchase some, if you like. At the end, a motor launch will transfer you back to the yacht. Split, Flavors & Aromas of Dalmatia *

Depart Split by motor coach to Klis and the Stella Croatica Ethno Village , a family run producer of traditional Dalmatian delicacies. Begin with a walk through the orchard and olive grove along a winding stone path through the middle of a garden and further through Aroma Park, rich with aromatic herbs and spices specific to Dalmatia. You will be served a welcome drink of liquor made from cherries while your hostess explains the elements of the stone village there. Split, Krka National Park Highlights *

Leaving the town of Split, you will take a 75-minute drive by coach to the famous Krka River Waterfalls . Located in lovely Krka National Park , the falls cascade over 17 natural barriers. Krka is one of the seven National Parks in Croatia and was formed to protect the Krka River. The whole area is rich with endemic species - vegetation as well as birds and fish. This tour will take you to the most attractive part of the park - the Skradinski Buk Waterfalls. The highest waterfall is 151 feet high which makes it the highest gypsum barrier in Europe . Above the falls there is a large plateau that offers spectacular views of the area. Your guided visit to the park will include a small ethnological exhibit and the old mill which is still in use.There is a path around the falls and you will have two hours of free time to explore before your 75-minute drive back to Split. You will board your motor coach for the 90-minute drive to Pnsici Village and the Cetina River. For thousands of years the Cetina River has been crafting a beautiful canyon, creating miraculous forms in the stone of its riverbed. This crystal-clear river with a temperature pleasant enough for swimming, offers a true untouched nature experience. The 590-foot cliffs, cascades, lakes, underground tunnels and the 131-foot-high Gubavica Waterfall are on the agenda today. There are peaceful waters as well as Class I and II rapids interspersed during the approximately 3 - 3 1/2 -hour rafting adventure. Kotor, Highlights of Kotor Bay & Baroque Village of Perast *

Your excursion begins with a 30-minute drive to the small Baroque village of Perast for a walking tour in this pedestrian only village. See the Cathedral of St. Nicholas and other monuments including the Parish Church , the 12th century Sveti Djordje Church , and the Sveti Nikola Church , built between the 15th and 17th centuries . In a local restaurant, you'll taste some typical sweets , made from an original recipe used during the Baroque period. You will have some free time before boarding a private motor boat to Gospa od Skrpjela , a Baroque-style church situated on one of two islets in the bay of Kotor, across from Perast. The islet is man made, and its original church was built in 1452. You'll view the stunning present church,Our Lady of the Rocks, built in 1632, and enlarged in 1722. You'll see 68 magnificent paintings by Tripo Kokolja, a famous 17th century Baroque artist from Perast whose most important painting, The Death of the Virgin, is nearly 33 feet long. Rejoin your bus for the return drive back to Kotor for a city walking tour through UNESCO protected Old Kotor . At the end of guided portion, you will have free time for shopping and the opportunity to explore the town of Kotor on your own before returning independently to the ship. Kotor, Highlights of Montenegro *

From the port of Kotor, a UNESCO World Heritage Site , a motor coach will take you on a panoramic tour. You will ascend steep slopes up the serpentine road with 25 curves to Lovcen Mountain, through an area of beautiful contrasts. The soaring Montenegrin mountains tower on one side, while opposite them is the sublime beauty of one of the world's most attractive bays. The road will take you to the picturesque village of Njegusi where you will enjoy local snacks that consist of smoked ham, cheese, homemade bread, and wine.Rejoin the coach and proceed to the town of Cetinje , to visit the Museum of King Nikola . Then follow the scenic route through the popular summer resort of the Budva Riviera , as you head back to Kotor. Kotor's Old Quarter was developed within a small triangular area enclosed by town walls. Your experienced guide will direct your attention to the structures that were built by the Venetians from the 15th to mid-18th centuries. They completely enclose the Old Town and form a unique fortification capable of resisting lengthy attacks and sieges. You will then continue to see the exterior of the 12th century Cathedral of St. Triphon , which features a Romanesque basilica whose nave is separated from the aisles by alternating square pillars and antique columns. Many of its narrow cobblestone streets are closed to traffic, making the main part of Taormina accessible only by foot. Your guide will take you on a guided walk that includes the Piazza Vittorio Emanuele and the bustling main street of Corso Umberto , lined with former mansions of enchanting architecture and balconies that brim with flowers. Stop briefly in the inner courtyard of the medieval Corvaja Palace and enjoy the panoramic views of the bay and snow-capped Mount Etna in the distance as you gaze from the balcony of Piazza IX Aprile. Follow your guide up the narrow street that leads to the Greco-Roman Theatre . Taormina's most famous antique dates back to the 2nd and 3rd centuries B.C. and still hosts performances today. The theatre's dramatic location is nothing less than breathtaking. The tiny village of Castelmola is strategically located near Taormina, a splendid site with panoramic views. The excursion will begin with the short journey by minibus to Taormina. Leave your minibus near the center of Taormina, and set out on foot as your guide will lead you along cobblestone streets to the Palazzo Corvaja, a 15th century building adorned with classic double windows. From there it will be a short walk to the amazing and impressive Greco-Roman theatre that is Taormina's iconic landmark . Like the town, the theatre dates back to the 3rd century BC. The Greeks did an incredible job of siting it - its width and acoustic qualities are so inimitable that it is still used for open-air concerts today. Glide slowly into this sea cave to witness the famed blue glow that reflects off the water. The city of Herculaneum, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was founded around the 4th century B.C., copying the geometric regularity of the layout of Naples. Its "decumani" (main streets) have an east-west orientation, while the "cardines" (narrower streets) run north-south. There is undeniably a "feeling" about Herculaneum, quite different from Pompeii, where you get the impression that its ancient population of 5,000 packed up and left only moments ago. Herculaneum was smaller than Pompeii but is better preserved simply because, while hot ashes consumed the wood of Pompeii's buildings, Herculaneum was covered by hot mud which sealed and protected entire city blocks. This means that marble floors, mosaics, paintings and carbonized woods can still be admired today. The city of Herculaneum, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was founded around the 4th century B.C., copying the geometric regularity of the layout of Naples. Its "decumani" (main streets) have an east-west orientation, while the "cardines" (narrower streets) run north-south. There is undeniably a "feeling" about Herculaneum, quite different from Pompeii, where you get the impression that its ancient population of 5,000 packed up and left only moments ago. Herculaneum was smaller than Pompeii but is better preserved simply because, while hot ashes consumed the wood of Pompeii's buildings, Herculaneum was covered by hot mud which sealed and protected entire city blocks. Portofino, Hiking to Santa Margherita *

Start your walk from the pier with your guide, viewing the elegant shops and boutiques that surround the charming piazzetta along the way. You will walk by the church to the hiking path. The itinerary of the hike can vary depending on your guide, on the weather and path conditions and on the fellow guests in your group. The first half of the tour is mostly an uphill walk if your tour goes towards Cappelletta, San Sebastiano and Olmi , to reach Molini . You will pass elegant villas nestled among rich tropical vegetation and olive trees. Cinque Terre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site is also a National Park and Protected Marine Area. Clinging to the Ligurian cliffs on the west coast of Italy are five castles at nearly the same distance from one another - Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore. Today you will see two of these sites as the ancient mariners had - from the sea. Depart from the pier heading to Cinque Terre, or five lands, and marvel as you approach the beautiful coast with villages suspended above the sea , almost defying gravity. Pass the scenic Tigullio Gulf and Poet's Gulf, with terraced vineyards alive with the aroma of olive trees blended with the fresh ocean breeze. Arrive at the village of Vernazza, where you will disembark the vessel and begin a guided walking tour of this 1st century village. Notice the richness of its architecture, which evinces a wealthier standard of living than that of other villages. Following your tour, you will have free time to browse the local shops or enjoy a cafe. Reboard your boat and proceed to the next stop, the most westerly village and Cinque Terre's beach town, Monterosso. Your motor coach will take you to Monaco Rock where elevators and escalators transport you up to the Old City . Take a guided walking tour up the hill and through the narrow streets, past the Oceanographic Museum , and the Cathedral containing the tomb of Princess Grace and Prince Rainier. Visit the interior of the Prince's Palace followed by some free time to explore further on your own. Next, you will descend from the rock and drive on a small part of the Grand Prix circuit on your way to Casino Square . Your final stop is Monte Carlo, where you will first walk along the Formula 1® circuit up to Casino Square to discover the most prominent and famous building on this square - the Grand Casino, surrounded by the Hotel de Paris and the Café de Paris . You may want to stroll around the square admiring the designer boutiques, or try your luck with the slot machines at the Café de Paris Casino. Return to the pier or if you want to stay to explore more on your own, return to the ship at your leisure. Begin this excursion with a scenic drive to Le Castellet - a typical Provençal hilltop village above the vineyards. This remarkable stronghold boasts well-preserved ramparts, a carefully restored 12th century church, and a castle dating back to the 11th century. Entering by the two fortified gates, called le portail and le portalet, you will start your visit with a guided walking tour around the narrow streets up to the castle which is now home to the town hall. Time at leisure will allow you to explore the arts and craft workshops - painting, pottery, and hollowware, before re-joining the motor coach for a drive to _Pavillon Fregate or similar . Drive to Cassis via the coastal road where you will find a delightful landscape of limestone cliffs. On arrival in Cassis, board a little shuttle train or a shuttle bus for the ride to the village. View the town's old 17th and 18th century houses during the ride to the downtown area. The quaint village lies in an attractive setting at the end of a bay where the valley comes down to the sea. It is a popular summer resort and a hub for summer boat trips along the Calanques National Park and creeks . The village is known for the quality of its fish and other seafood; the sea urchins accompanied by Cassis white wine are a local delicacy. You will enjoy some free time during your visit in Cassis to do some shopping - arts and crafts merchants, boutiques and cafés fill the quays around the port of the village. Return to the ship along the motorway. Please note : This excursion involves walking over cobblestone streets and uneven surfaces. Comfortable shoes are recommended. The little train is a shuttle to reach downtown, it is not a touristic train.The tour is not recommended for wheelchair guests and those with mobility concerns are cautioned to carefully evaluate their personal level of stamina and ability. Palamos, Girona City Tour *

A scenic 1-hour drive west from Palamos will bring you to the beautiful town of Girona, known as the Immortal City. Girona is rich in historic treasures and is one of the most interesting monumental cities in Spain. First you'll stop at the El Call area, one of the best-preserved Jewish Quarters in Europe -continuously inhabited for almost seven centuries. At the very heart of the Jewish Quarter are the Arab Baths with their beautiful arches. In spite of the name, the construction of the baths is western Romanesque style. See the Bonastruch Ca Porta Museum on the site of the old synagogue, as well as the medieval walls of the city and the remains of the Gironella Tower, destroyed by Napoleon during his retreat in 1814. Palamos, Cycling to Pals *

During this tour, you'll see a great diversity of scenary such as rough coves on the coasts, forests, fields and medieval villages ... and without much effort! You will leave the port with the e-bikes, and head towards la Fosca, a pretty little beach with beautiful views. Continue the route cycling along the greenway called "Ruta del Tren Petit ," which used to be a narrow-gauge railway line. Head north, where you'll cycle along agricultural roads. As a backdrop, appreciate les Gavarres, a mass of of hilly woodlands that is important for the production of cork. Cycle through the plain of the Empordà and finally arrive at the medieval village of Pals. Its old center is dominated by a Roman Tower built between the 11th and 13th centuries. You will find pebbled streets, half-point arches, facádes with ogive windows and stone balconies. The city wall has four square towers from the 4th century. From Pals you'll have great views to the rice fields of the Ter River plain and the Medes Islands in the sea.
